Dent Village Heritage Centre
Step back in time and discover a wealth of information on the working lives and social customs of the Dalesfolk who inhabited this beautiful area in times past. The Heritage Centre is adjacent to High Laning Caravan & Camping Park.

Nature Trail
The Nature Trail is an extension of the Dent Village Heritage Centre. Along the nature trail you can visit a restored barn displaying farming implements, equipment and tools.

Visit and discover Dentdale in the Yorkshire Dales. The Dales Way passes through Dentdale where there are numerous footpaths. There is a superb walk through the beautiful wooded gully of Flintergill following the Heritage Trail, to easy going routes along the River Dee. There is an excellent choice of accommodation and a fascinating Heritage Centre to visit. Three pubs and two cafes provide food and rest for visitors and walkers. There is plenty of rich wildlife, flora and fauna in the Dale.

Dent Music and beer Festival
Dent started it’s music programme back in 2002, a local idea to regenerate the area after the foot and mouth outbreak and to bring music to the Dale. The date was chosen by the local business forum as an ideal weekend between the bank holidays. Musicians have been coming to Dent for many years to enjoy the views, meet friends and enjoy the craic, so The Dent Folk Festival was born out of this initiative and continued to grow year on year until 2008, when it reached bursting point. This is why Dent has a new name for 2009 – Dentdale Music & Beer Festival, as the old committee and the name has moved several miles up the road to a brand new home / venture to accommodate the full growth potential it deserves - we wish them well!

Derek Waudby
Derek Waudby is a Singer-Songwriter, he sings and plays guitar in and around Hull Beverley and cottingham and at folk festivals in the uk. He has just released a CD called 'DOING FINE' (14 tracks, 1hr 6mins). Derek's music is currently being played at the Dent Village Heritage Centre, his CD is on sale at the Dent Village Heritage Centre or you can contact Derek directly.
